DENNIS ROMANYK

 

Dennis Romanyk became a principal with Anderson Associates Consulting Engineers Inc. in 2006. His broad range of experience enhances the company’s ability to tackle industrial and design projects.

 

Dennis graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc Engineering  (Mechanical) in 1979. Mr. Romanyk also completed an Advanced Quality Systems course in 1992, a Management Development for Professional Geologists and Geophysicists Business Certificate in 2004, and a National Association of Fire Investigators Certification course to acquire CFEI designation in 2008.

 

Dennis was employed as a Service Technician for the cementing, fracturing, stimulation and industrial service departments in Edmonton, Red Deer and Inuvik from  1968 to 1975. He attended the University of Alberta as an Engineering student until  graduation in 1979 and then resumed full time employment as a Frontier District Engineer, providing engineering, direction and training for the Arctic and East Coast operations until 1982. At that time, he established operations in Weyburn, Saskatchewan and functioned as  District Engineer for the next two years.

 

In 1984, he directed personnel and coordinated operations for six locations in Western Canada that provided chemical and mechanical cleaning of industrial facilities. He provided consulting services in Brazil for the establishment of a national offshore oilwell stimulation service company. Elements included equipment, design, material source and supply, company structure and technical support.

 

From 1988 to 1992, Dennis provided engineering services, process design and personnel training in the production of aircraft components and assemblies for the military and commercial aeroplanes market. He developed and implemented company quality procedures to satisfy the requirements of ISO 9000 and Boeing’s D1-9000 document, Advanced Quality Systems for Boeing Suppliers.

 

In 2000, Dennis established company procedures for the certification of overhead handling equipment to satisfy the recommendations prescribed by CAODC. From 2000 to 2004, Dennis provided management and engineering design services, process design and personnel training in the production of artificial lift equipment and the fabrication of specialized mobile equipment for the oil well servicing industry and the company product line of diesel fired heater units. He was an active participant in the development of ISO 15136.2 Progressing Cavity Pump Systems for Artificial Lift, Part 2 -  Surface Drive Equipment.

 

Dennis has spent several years as an Engineering Consultant, providing consulting services in the design and manufacturing sector. From 2004 to 2006, he provided project  management and engineering services in a multi-discipline engineering environment  relating to ASME Codes.

 

Dennis has extensive experience in project management, administration, design and commissioning of equipment and processes, troubleshooting and implementing corrective action. He provides strong leadership abilities, excellent analytical skills and computer proficiency, and a positive attitude to all his projects.
