Although his work with Anderson Associates Consulting Engineers Inc. only began in 2009, Marcin Barker has over 14 years of experience in many aspects of engineering.

Having graduated with honors from the Mechanical Engineering Technology program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1996, he then went on to start his career in the Alberta oilfield industry.

Prior to joining Anderson Associates, he worked for Universe Machine Corporation's Engineering Department, where he was closely involved with equipment design, hydraulic systems design, valve testing equipment design, and optimization of manufacturing processes. His duties included design engineering, manufacturing, equipment troubleshooting, fieldwork and sales. In 2006, Marcin founded Modtek Manufacturing Corporation, a company which specialized in all things related to power tongs as well as custom engineering and design of new and innovative equipment.

Nowadays, Marcin is primarily involved in property and heavy equipment loss analysis, building envelope analysis, fire investigations and motor vehicle accident reconstruction.

Marcin is very strong in mechanical design engineering with over 10 years experience with Solidworks and various other 3D design software. Marcin’s engineering and application skill sets, dedication and experience have earned him two patents to date.
